Jane will take you through the steps of needle turn - appliqué.
Using patterns from the book "Sweet Inspirations" by Pam Manning, we
will complete some of the cute folk-art style blocks. Bring scraps
from home and supplement with more from the shop for 10% off. If
more than one person is interested in an evening class, leave your
name at the shop and Jane will try and schedule one. |

Beginning Machine Quilting
Saturday, March 15, 11am-2pm or
Tuesday, March 18, 6pm-9pm. Class fee: $40
This class will take you through the basics of quilting on your own
sewing machine. If possible, it is necessary to have your own
machine for this class, with a walking foot and darning or "hopping"
foot. We will prepare a quilt sample and experiment with straight
line and in the ditch quilting as well as the basics of free motion
quilting.
Supplies you will need to bring: medium to large safety pins or
quilting safety pins, thread in the color you wish to quilt your own
top, and your machine with the feet mentioned above. |

Are you interested in learning how to make a quilt top: This is our
ongoing beginner class using the Alex Anderson Beginning Quiltmaking
book. Class will cover rotary cutting, piecing, pressing,
measuring, color choice, adding borders, squaring blocks, and
finished quilts. Come in and sign up and choose your fabrics with
the help of one of our staff. We will use sewing machines provided
by the store. Purchase of your own rotary cutter and ruler is
preferred. A 10% discount for all of your supplies and fabric
for the class. |

a fast, fun, and attractive quilt that you can have done in no time.
No worrying over fabric selection, just buy one jelly roll and
border fabric and you'll have a lap quilt in no time. |

Punchneedle Embroidery

Punchneedle embroidery has been around for a while now, but some of
us are still hesitating to try it - how could anything so small be
easy? It is and Kathy Haberman will show you just how easy it
can be. The kit includes all you need except a 6" embroider
hoop and a 1 or 3 strand punch needle. We will give you a 10%
discount on supplies purchased for the class. |

So many fats-so little time. A double 4 patch block makes for a
dramatic, cascading chain. It's simple to put together and shows off
a variety of fun prints. Stay and sew till we close! Check out the
